Top Notch Builders of Iowa Inc. is a local, family-owned construction company that has been framing in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor since 2010. We are looking to add additional framing carpenters to our team. Experience in the construction field is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train onsite. Pay will be based on experience. Jobsites are located in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor and include, but are not limited to, new construction, remodels, additions, and decks.

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload tools and building materials at jobsite
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to complete projects
• Accurately measure and cut materials
• Read and follow blueprints
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Keep jobsites clean and clear of debris

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, speed square, chalk box, utility knife) and toolbelt required
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Understanding of basic math and measurements
• Effective communication skills
