Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa has delivered outstanding healthcare services to the region for 27 years. As we continue on our path as a preeminent, independent healthcare provider, we are seeking a leader to serve as our Chief Operating Officer.
Duties:
- Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the oversight, leadership and management of Clinic and Ancillary Department Directors and Managers as well as the overall function of these departments.
- This includes patient satisfaction, staff and provider satisfaction, and financial success.
- This individual also serves as PCI’s practice management advisory and improvement officer working in tandem with the Department Chairs and/or Department Managers.
Other duties include:
- Assists CEO and Departments in creating operational policies and procedures and assures compliance.
- Serves on the Quality and Finance Advisory groups to enhance operational effectiveness, emphasizing revenue enhancement, cost containment, high quality patient care and excellent patient service.
- Works with the Board of Directors and Corporate Team to achieve business plan objectives for the organization.
- Ensures that the organization maintains compliance with regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
- Acts as the Senior Operations Liaison between practice sites and local and outreach healthcare entities.
Qualifications:
- Leading candidates will have a B.A. or B.S in Business or a Health Care related field and/or 7-10 years of related experience in the healthcare field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in healthcare operations.
- The ability to work with physicians, staff, and representatives of the business community and healthcare organizations in multiple setting and locations.
- High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
- Ability to be a high level contributor to teams and committees.
- High level user of standard business computer systems and software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
