Certified Medical Assistant – Podiatry

At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Podiatry Department is currently seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice.
Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Working along with providers in a clinic setting.
- Greet and room patients while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
- Prepare patients for provider examination and assist providers during in-office medical procedures.
- Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
- Support the casting process, including preparation, application, and removal of casts
- Patient education on upcoming procedures, medications, etc. per provider’s protocol.
- Triage patient calls for providers and answer patient questions.
Qualifications:
- Medical certification/license is required.
- CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
