CMA / LPN – Department of Family Medicine

Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s Department of Family Medicine is seeking a full time CMA or LPN to work in our busy practice. Join the best team in healthcare!

Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
  • Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
  • Prepare and administer vaccines and injections.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing.
  • Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results.
  • Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, and coordinating prescription refills.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Current medical certification/license is required.
  • CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
