Data and Systems Analyst

The Data and Systems Analyst strengthens the foundation’s mission by managing reliable data systems and transforming information into actionable insights. This role improves workflows, ensures data accuracy, and creates dashboards and reports that support informed decision making. Working across all teams, the Analyst helps streamline operations, enhance staff efficiency, and uphold secure, dependable systems that enable the foundation to serve the community effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Foundation Management System Administration
- Product administrator for the foundation management system; maintains relationship with provider
- Leads staff core user team; helps staff review issues and customizations
- Facilitates product update meetings and provides in-house training and technical assistance
- Ensures data is entered and transactions are processed efficiently, effectively, and accurately
- Researches solutions that integrate with existing Community Foundation platforms
Technology Systems & Security
- Primary point of contact with our IT Managed Service Provider; continuous evaluation of relationship and reviewing options
- Responsible for support of IT managed systems, including overseeing cybersecurity requirements
- Develops and manages programs that offer IT training, phishing simulations, security awareness and incident tabletop exercises
- Develops and monitors AI policies, standards, and compliance
- Leads/supports the selection, configuration, and rollout of new technology to improve workflow and efficiency
Dashboards & Business Intelligence
- Builds dashboards and reports that help staff track outcomes, measure impact, and make informed decisions
- Automates reports to drive efficiency improvements
- Supports staff in retrieving, understanding, and using data for meetings, board materials, and annual planning
- Generates comprehensive data reports to identify trends, support year-over-year analysis, and inform strategic decision-making across the organization

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years experience in systems analysis, business intelligence analysis, IT consulting, or a related field
- Strong understanding of relational databases, workflow design, and process improvement methodologies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Ecosystem
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and vendor risk management
- Experience using AI tools
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four-year college degree
- Experience in the non‑profit and/or philanthropic sectors
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- Full-time
- Office hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Hybrid work arrangements are offered
SALARY RANGE:
- $62,000.00 -$74,000.00 dependent upon experience
