About the Position:

Primary responsibilities of this position are to provide advanced-level support to the Help Desk support system, including data and voice communications hardware and software and related work as required for County departments. Performs secondary level maintenance of network/communications cable and connectors.

Examples of Duties:

  • Serves as a resource person for users by answering questions and resolving problems related to the use, application, and operation of software systems
  • Diagnoses problems to determine if the cause to due to system, software, hardware, or other source, and correct problem & operational procedures
  • Installs and upgrades hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Provides training and instruction on specific departmental programs and procedures
  • Supports continuous process improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Services, Computer Science, or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with computer software and hardware systems.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work may be considered.

SHIFT: Monday – Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
