About the Position:
Responsible for both network and windows server administration. The network function has the
primary responsibility to maintain and support countywide networking and security related equipment.
The security function is to maintain and support countywide security policies and maintain the integrity
of the overall network. The Windows server function has the responsibility to maintain and support all
Windows servers.
Examples of Duties:
• Maintains countywide server and networking infrastructure.
• Analyzes server and network performance and determines appropriate course of action.
• Maintains security through active directory and firewall/security appliances.
• Provides technical support for the server and network environment.
• Maintains proper backup and recovery procedures for County wide data.
• Supports all Windows servers and networking equipment.
• Maintains DNS, DHCP, domain controllers, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, IIS,
file servers, Office 365, and print servers.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows Server OS and enterprise
network equipment.
• Experience in enterprise level LAN/WAN environment; NTFS, Group Permissions, Network
Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, e-mail, web servers, file servers, and print servers.
• IT related certifications preferred (Network+, Server+, Security +, Microsoft Azure, 365
etc.).
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required
knowledge and skills for this position may be considered.
Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
