We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator for The Woodlands, our nursing facility.
This position will:
- Maintain communication with hospitals and community agencies to promote the professional services Meth-Wick provides and facilitate admission into the facility
- Facilitate ongoing communication with referral sources including but not limited to hospitals, assisted living facilities, community agencies and family members
- Provide information and tours of the facility - either in person or virtual - in order to best assist family members through the admission process
- Remain available and responsive to hospital social workers to assist with setting up admissions to the facility
- Schedule admissions and works with all departments to prepare for the admission.
- Available to patients and family members during the course of their stay to ensure satisfaction
Requirements:
- This role demands a blend of administrative skill and compassionate resident service, requiring strong communication and organizational abilities with the knowledge of healthcare privacy laws and insurance procedures.
- We prefer this candidate to have an Associates Degree with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a short term rehabilitation or long term care facility.
- Healthcare, sales, marketing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, medical terminology knowledge and data entry required.
- Nursing credentials (RN/LPN) helpful but not required.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
