Matthew 25 is a vibrant, growing non-profit organization. Our mission is to improve the health of people and neighborhoods by investing in quality affordable housing, healthy food, educational opportunities, and community building. We are looking to add a full-time Development Leader to our team!
Hours per week: Average of 40
Salary range: $48,000 to $52,000, commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
- Work with the Chief Development Officer in the planning and execution of Matthew 25’s fundraising and donor relations activities to achieve organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with supportive individuals, churches and businesses through regular written, phone and face-to-face communication.
- Manage all Matthew 25 sponsorship initiatives, including developing new opportunities and ensuring appropriate recognition of sponsorships.
- Proactively build a portfolio by identifying and engaging new donor and sponsorship prospects.
- Plan and execute donor events, working with Groundswell and other team members.
- Generate ideas for new donor engagement and recognition opportunities.
- Work with program managers and the marketing team on ways to increase program-specific donations, especially gifts to our Pay-it-Forward Funds at Groundswell Cafe and Cultivate Hope Corner Store.
- Develop special fundraising campaigns and activities to support the mission of Matthew 25. Collaborate with the marketing team in execution of the campaigns.
- Represent Matthew 25 at community, church or corporate events to spread awareness of our work and gain new supporters. Host tours or groups at Matthew 25 locations.
- Collaborate with partners who are doing fundraising campaigns on our behalf.
- Work with the Chief Development Officer to strategize how Matthew 25 might increase annual giving or utilize new development methods.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure all supporters feel seen and appreciated.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in the donor database. Follow established procedures and use best practices to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide support for additional fundraising efforts as needed, including capital campaigns, endowment initiatives, and special projects.
- Assist in the documentation of standard processes and procedures.
- Recommend process improvements for increased efficiency.
- Display and promote company values.
- Regular attendance. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (include but are not limited to the following)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent in relevant experience required.
- A minimum of 2+ years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to off-site donor meetings, speaking engagements and other events.
