ImOn Communications has been the LOCAL choice for high-speed Internet, cable TV, and phone in Eastern Iowa since 2007. Since then, we have expanded our network to provide fiber Internet services to more than a dozen communities in Iowa and beyond! As we grow our network, we are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our team.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of all assigned IT projects while managing risk and maintaining financial responsibility.
This position will oversee projects and ensure IT projects are completed on time. The IT Project Manager will ensure compliance with budget and other project requirements. They will document instructions for end-users and assist with the testing of the final product. They will communicate with stakeholders during all phases of the project and close it efficiently.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Portfolio management for IT impacting work.
- Planning, organizing, and implementing technical projects. Including: preparation of project schedules, requirements, design, test plans, lessons learned, other artifacts, ensures processes and training are completed.
- Coordinating production releases and rollouts.
- Delegating tasks to necessary employees.
- Presenting on project progress and results.
- Managing project budgets.
- Communicating with stakeholders.
- Leading risk management and mitigation efforts.
- Gathering, analyzing, and reporting IT metrics.
- Working with stakeholders such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users regarding project requirements.
- Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.
- Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.
- Evaluating standards of component products.
- Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
- Monitoring expenditures in accordance with the budget.
- Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.
- Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.
Requirements
We are looking for people with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least three (3) years of project management experience, within a technical capacity.
- Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet established deadlines and change as business needs require.
- Good negotiation skills with customer-oriented attitude.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
It would be nice if you had (preferred):
- Project Management Certification.
- Portfolio management certification.
- Technical aptitude.
- Telecommunications experience a plus.
